Sapa Discovery (3 nights 2 days)
Vietnam's northern mountain ranges are breathtakingly beautiful, rich in cultural diversity and great fun to explore. On a clear day you will be treated to views of steeply terraced rice fields, towering verdant ridgelines, primitive mud-thatched villages, raging rivers and astounding waterfalls.
Sapa is the focal point for mountain travel in Vietnam, and is a riot of colour and atmosphere as people from the myriad ethnic minorities of the hills gather in the markets.
Day 01 - Overnight Train to Sapa (-/-/-)
Pick up from your hotel to Hanoi Railway Station for overnight train to Lao Cai. Your accommodation for tonight will be in soft sleeper berths cabin on the local express train.
Day 02 - Sapa - Tribal Villages (5 Hours Trekking, 12 km) (B / L /-)
Early arrival into Lao Cai railway station, you are transferred to Sapa on private vehicle. The journey is 33 km but takes around 1.5 hours. Do not miss this chance to catch the spectacular view of the mountains and valleys merging in clouds.
After breakfast and relax at hotel, there will be a lovely hike to Cat Cat village, home to Black H’ Mong ethnic minority. Here you have opportunity to share cultural experiences with the local families, see people weaving and embroidering their clothes.
Come back to Sapa town for lunch, and climb up to Ham Rong moutain where you can enjoy a panoramic view of Sapa. Overnight at hotel in Sapa.
Day 03 - Sapa - Overnight Train Back to Hanoi (5 hours trekking 14 km) ( B / L /-)

After breakfast, a longer-hour trek will lead us to remote areas of Sapa to uncover even more interesting landscapes and local life. Down the valley, we visit Lao Chai village inhabited by another Black H’Mong tribe. Follow a few miles to Tavan village, we will see Zay minorities exhibiting their strong Chinese culture and enjoy picnic lunch with a family.
The impressive trek is completed as we return to Sapa along a dramatic winding trail. The rest of the day is for your leisure before proceeding to Lao Cai train station for the journey back to Hanoi.
Day 04 - Hanoi Return (-/-/-)
Early morning arrive in Hanoi. Meet at station and transfer to your hotel.
